Booking & Safety Information
Making a booking
To make a booking we require your:
- Full name
- Home address
- Phone number (should we need to contact you on the day)
- Chosen package
- Venue address
- Party times
You can ring, text or email this information, although email is preffered as this ensures fewer mispellings of names and addresses.
Once this information is recieved we will enter your request into our diary and send you an e-mail confirmation of your booking. A few days prior to the event we will ring you, just to confirm that everything is ok to go ahead.
Duration
All prices allow for a three hour hire period. However, if you would like to extend your hire period just let me know when you ring, text or e-mail. Overnight and/or all day hire is available for an additional fee.
Steps
Please do not book a bouncy castle or Deluxe soft play package for a venue with stairs if it does not have a lift, one or two steps may be possible but stairs will not. Consider the outside approach to the building as well please inform us if there are any steps, narrow entrances etc.
Cancellation
If you need to cancel please could you inform us as soon as possible, we will do our best to re-arrange bookings that have to be cancelled due to bad weather. If your booking has to be cancelled either my us or you due to heavy snow your deposit will be refunded in full. We make every effort to attend your booking if there is snow however there may be occasions where this is not possible. Please note in four years only two parties have been cancelled by us due to snow so this is very rare. If it rains however i'm afraid your booking can be transphered but not refunded as we will have turned down other indoor work that day.
Outside Bookings
Please be aware that in order to safely erect equipment outside we do require a flat, clear, dry space. We would be grateful if you remove any children's toys, garden waste or animal excrement from the dedicated area. If it has rained prior to your event, we will be able to go ahead setting up the equipment providing that the ground is not water logged and the weather has improved. If the weather is poor on the day we will assess the situation and take into account the latest weather forecast. However, be aware that we cannot erect any equipment in the rain.
If a light shower should occur during your booking we recommend that you ask all guests to stop using the equipment and place the tarpaulin provided over it until the shower has past. Prior to reusing the equipment we advise that it is wiped dry with a towel for safety purposes.
Safety
Here at The Play Palace we take every possible measure to ensure that your experience with us is both fun and safe.
Each activity is risk assessed, every piece of equipment is cleaned after each booking and of course public liability insurance is in place. Risk assessments are available to compliment your hire and are particularly useful if you are organising a large event such as a fete, open day or carnival. Please request when booking.
Public liability insurance is currently set at £2 million, as this allows for use by not only private individuals but also the statutory and voluntary sector.
Our equipment meets all current health & safety and fire regulations and our bouncy castles are safety tested annually. Test certificates are available to view should you wish.
When considering bouncy castle hire please consider that a minimum of three feet should be left around all parts of the castle. This is to ensure that there is enough space for children to get on and off safely and that the blower can be situated away from the castle.
