New Stock

Just opened new stock today with the kids, they were so excited. We have two new fish, a horse ans a caterpillar to go with the deluxe packages. They tested them to the max, climbing, sitting, rocking, jumping and crawling under them. It worked my daughter fell asleep at 6.00pm but my son's a bit harder would have needed a bouncy castle out as well to get him off, he eventually droped off about 8.30pm after some bob the builder. Working on increasing my direct advertising campaign at the moment, I hope to be attending some wedding fayres in the near future and have some networking opportunities comming up so hopefully may be able to expand my customer base (fingers crossed). Now for bed.

Since I really have not a clue how to do this it's taking me quite some time. Hopefully though it will be upand running soon as the kids get up at 6am and I really fancy some sleep tonight.

Sleep (Yes, please)

No matter how long I seem to sleep I still want more at the minute. My son run's in at 6.00 every morning either with a cock a doodle doo or a I want a wee mum and no matter how I try I just can't get used to it. His time table has also altered as he's now afternoons in nursery this term so I'm really struggling to get used to our new routine. I'd usually do my admin etc in the evenings or have one day a week to work but that's just not happening any more as I keep falling asleep when I put him to bed. My daughter is just plodding along oblivious to the change, hopefully things will pan out soon. Just rang about my new combo castle they are really busy so it's delivery will be a bit later than i'd hoped but luckly I left plenty of time in case of delay so it won't affect anyones booking. Just want to see it now. On the plus side I guess I can delay that clean up I need to do before it arrives.

All about The Play Palace

The Play Palace is run by me Rhiannon mum of two. My daughter Mya is one and my son Ben is now three. It was whilst pregnant with Ben that I came up with the idea of The Play Palace. I was thinking about my local soft play centre and although it's very good there's not a lot there for very young children plus what is there for them is often over run by older children which makes it quite unsafe. I thought I might be able to bridge this gap by creating soft play solutions specificlly for the under 5's. From this idea The Play Palace was born.

In my previous career I have worked with children, young people and their families, much of this work has been with disabled young people or those labeled as challenging. I have worked for the youth service, Communities First, Social services amongst others and due to the nature of the work my job although rewarding has often been tough. So The Play Palace is a challenging but pleasant change.

Before starting The Play Palace I had always wanted to work for myself but never had the courage to give it a go. Since starting it I have discovered many things about myself : I can drive a van (a big one), I can find my way around quite well even when very lost by staying calm and always leaving early, I can lift even an adult bouncy castle by myself, unfortunatly lifting bouncy castles does not make me thin (dam), I can fit lots of equipment into a small space ( much like Marry Poppins with her bag) I am better at multi tasking than I thought.

I have met some lovely people who I would not have normally been in contact with both customers and other self emplyed people and I hope to meet many more. I am very grateful for the kind words people have given me and especially to those customers who have spared the time to review The Play Palace as these comments really do boost my confidence and make it all worthwhile.
